CAMHS stands for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. Berkshire CAMHS offers assessment and treatment when mental health problems affect children and young people up to the age of 18.

We offer a same day response for urgent cases referred by local hospitals and GPs (on weekdays only).

You will need to be referred to CAMHS by a professional such as your GP, social worker or school nurse. Please speak to them and they will put you in touch with us if they think we can help.

Clinical Health Psychology

Living with physical health problems can affect the emotional well-being of individuals and their families. If they are finding it difficult to cope, it can seriously impact their quality of life and the long term outcome of their condition.

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust have specialists in their clinical health psychology service who offer psychological assessments and therapies aimed at helping adults, their carers and families. They also offer consultation to medical teams. The aim is to support patients and their families to achieve the best possible outcomes in living with and managing their condition.
