Berkshire West CCG Proposals on NHS commissioning in your area

Berkshire West CCG (Clinical Commissioning Group) have been working with its neighbouring CCGs in Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire (BOB), to put forward proposals (which you can read HERE) for new ways of working and commissioning NHS services that meet the needs of a growing population. They seek your views on these proposals. Share your views by completing an online survey HERE / use QR code, or email communications@royalberkshire.nhs.uk. The deadline to submit feedback is December 1st
Dr Abid Irfan, Chair of Berkshire West CCG said:

“Over the past year, we have been exploring how we can work more effectively and efficiently across the BOB healthcare system to achieve our shared ambition. "We want to make sure people have access to quality healthcare whilst also cutting the health inequalities that exist today."
“Please be assured that, whatever commissioning arrangements are put in place in the future, our priority continues to be making sure local needs are addressed, that we provide people with access to quality healthcare and that we reduce the health inequalities that exist today.
Healthwatch West Berkshire are also keen to know your views about these proposals. Share your feedback with us by contacting us.

Annual assessment of the state of health and social care in England

The Care Quality Commission’s (CQC) annual assessment of the state of health and social care in England shows that quality ratings have been maintained overall – but people’s experience of care is determined by whether they can access good care when they need it.

This year's State of Care focuses particularly on inpatient mental health and learning disability services.

While the overall quality picture for the mental health sector, which includes community mental health services, remains stable, this masks a real deterioration in some specialist inpatient services. Click HERE to learn more.
