Birchwood Care home, Newbury still "Requires Improvement" says CQC report

West Berkshire Council run Birchwood Care Home shows a slight improvement, but continues to be rated "Requires Improvement" in latest Care Quality Commission (CQC) report. Overall, this is the same rating Birchwood obtained in the 2018 and 2017 CQC reports.

Community Christmas Lunch

Dementia Friends and Immersive Experience session, Newbury

We held our Dementia friends and Immersive experience session at the Broadway House, Newbury, on 5th December. The event was well attended and there were many interesting ideas and topics discussed. Also included was an immersive interactive dementia session that enabled people to get a better understanding of what it's like living with dementia. Volunteering opportunities for you in 2020 - Volunteer recruitment event

You are invited to come and chat with a wide range of community organisations about how you can become involved with lots of varied volunteering opportunities on Saturday 11th January, from 10am - 3pm, at the Corn Exchange Newbury.

V365 2020 is West Berkshire's largest volunteer recruitment event. This event brings together West Berkshire community groups both large and small showcasing what they do. Learn more here
