Healthwatch West Berkshire Voice Of Disability Report launch

Although the Disability Discrimination Act and the Equality Act that followed have made huge improvements to the lives of those living with both physical and mental disabilities, there are still enormous barriers to everyday health and wellbeing in West Berkshire.

Healthwatch West Berkshire's Voice Of Disability Report raises questions about these sort of issues, which were discussed at last year's workshop, and provides a number of recommendations to improve life for the disabled in our community. Read the report
BOB launch their 5 year plan

The Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West Integrated Care System (BOB ICS) have published an interim report on the development of its five year plan. We have been nominated for a national award

We are very proud to have been nominated for a Healthwatch England national award this year. The award we have been nominated for is an "Improving Health and Social Care" award, and we were nominated thanks to our work that created change for homeless people. Mental health and the journey to parenthood report

Healthwatch England have published a new report "Mental Health and the Journey to Parenthood" In this report, Healthwatch England share what parents across England have said about their experiences of mental health problems during and after pregnancy, and call on services to give people more opportunities to talk about their mental wellbeing.

CQC declare your care campaign

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) want to hear about good care as part of their campaign #DeclareYourCare. This month they are encouraging young people to share their feedback on care. Declare Your Care is a year long, campaign focusing on four key population groups which  have lower awareness of CQC. This adds to the picture of the overall standard of care. By sharing good examples, they can help all care providers improve. Find out more HERE
