Receiving vaccine during Ramadan does not break fast
Ramadan this year starts Monday 12th April and ends in the evening of Wednesday 12th May. One commonly asked question is:
"Can I take the Covid-19 vaccine while fasting?"
Taking the Covid-19 vaccines currently licensed in the UK does not invalidate the test as per the opinion of Islamic scholars. Individuals should not delay their Covid vaccinations on the account of Ramadan.

Covid-19 vaccine rollout could be scaled back
The Covid-19 vaccine rollout could be scaled back next month, following the NHS, in a letter to local health organisations, warning of a “significant reduction in the weekly supply” of Covid vaccines in England for an estimated 4 week period.
The letter says there has been a “reduction in national inbound vaccines supply” and asks organisations to “ensure no further appointments are uploaded” to booking systems in April.
The health secretary Matt Hancockplayed down the "standard" NHS England letter, telling a COVID briefing that "vaccine supply is always lumpy".
