When you’re feeling unwell with a cold, cough, sore throat or minor infection, knowing where to go for help can make a real difference — not just for you, but for the whole local health system.

In West Berkshire, many people are now being encouraged to use community pharmacies as a first port of call for common conditions. Pharmacists are highly trained, easy to access and can offer advice, treatment, and referrals where needed.
But is this working in practice? And do local pharmacy services meet your needs?
That’s why Healthwatch West Berkshire is asking residents to take part in our short survey: Pills, Chills & Pharmacist Skills.
The survey takes around five minutes, is anonymous, and is open to everyone — whether you regularly use your pharmacy or haven’t yet tried Pharmacy First.
We want to understand:
Where people go first when they’re unwell
What works well in local pharmacy services
What could be improved
Your feedback will be shared with local decision-makers and used to help improve pharmacy provision and health planning across West Berkshire.
