Great Western Hospital now on NHS App

Patients can now view Great Western Hospital using the NHS App.

Anyone registered with a GP can access their hospital appointments and referrals via their smartphone, tablet or desktop computer.

The NHS App also provides additional material, support and guidance related to either your appointment or ongoing care, and you have the ability to order repeat prescriptions, book a GP appointment, and access your Covid pass.

Chief Digital Officer Naginder Dhanoa, said:

“Making the Great Western Hospital visible on the NHS app is an exciting development, that will allow our patients to manage their care more effectively. This development will help us to provide all our patients with an accessible service in line with modern technology.

“Patients will be able to view their appointments more easily as they wait for hospital care, and it will give them more control over how and when they can access information and support.

“As well as providing easy access to clear information about their healthcare for our patients, this move is intended to free up clinical and administrative time. More patients and their carers will be able to find the information they need via the NHS app, which it is hoped will reduce the amount of people contacting hospital services for an update.

“We would encourage everyone in the local area to register with their GP and download the NHS app today.”
