Patients across Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, and Berkshire West (BOB) are set to benefit from a new wave of support aimed at improving access to GP services and enhancing the overall experience of primary care.

As part of an ongoing commitment by the NHS Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West Integrated Care Board (ICB), more local surgeries are now included in the initiative to boost resources, staffing, and infrastructure.
The surgeries in West Berkshire which will benefit are:
Boathouse Surgery
Burdwood Surgery
Downland Practice Compton
Theale Medical Centre
These practices join a list of surgeries across the region that are being supported to expand appointment availability, which will include face-face and digital options. They will also be able to improve patient access and communication, modernise their facilities, and enhance their staff capacity, which will allow practices to meet the rising demand.
This investment is part of a broader effort to ensure that general practice remains accessible and sustainable, particularly in response to increasing pressures across the NHS.
By focusing on local solutions, the ICB aims to ensure that patients across BOB can get the right care, at the right time, in a way that suits their needs.
