What Would You Like to See?

Health and care organisations across West Berkshire are coming together to explore a new way of working that puts communities at the heart of local health and wellbeing support.

Representatives from the NHS, the Integrated Care Board (ICB), West Berkshire Council, voluntary organisations, community groups and other local partners are beginning conversations about how a neighbourhood health approach could work in practice across our communities.

The idea is simple:

Services should be built around the needs of local people and communities, rather than expecting people to fit around services.

Neighbourhood health aims to bring together health, care and community support closer to where people live, helping organisations work together more effectively while making it easier for residents to access the help they need.

Neighbourhood health is about more than healthcare. It includes the things that influence our wellbeing every day, such as social connections, housing, transport, community activities, information, support networks and opportunities to stay active and involved.

As discussions continue between local partners, your experiences and ideas can help shape how neighbourhood working develops in West Berkshire.

Whether you are a patient, carer, volunteer, community group member, or simply someone who lives locally, your views matter.

This is an opportunity to help influence how health, care and community support could work together in the future to create healthier, stronger and more connected neighbourhoods across West Berkshire.
