Yellow Heat-Health Alert -South East From 19th to 23rd of June 2025

Hot weather can be dangerous, especially for older adults, people with health conditions and young children.

Possible Impacts Include:

• Increased risk of illness or death in vulnerable groups

• Overheating in hospitals, care homes, and community housing

• Strain on health and social care services

• Risks to those working in hot indoor environments

Protect yourself and others by doing the following.

• Stay hydrated

• Keep indoor spaces cool, keep curtains closed, especially south facing ones.

• Check in on vulnerable neighbours, friends, and family

• Know the signs of heat exhaustion and heatstroke
