Power Up Your Health!

Your health matters, and we want to know about your experiences with health and healthcare in our area.

Alongside the survey, we’ll be sharing “Dear Men” health facts on our social media to help raise awareness of key issues.

Your feedback will help Healthwatch West Berkshire understand men’s health locally and share the findings with our local commissioning services. We’ll keep you updated on the results and any changes that come from them.

Why now? The Government is planning a Men’s Health Strategy for England, a 10-year plan to improve health outcomes for men and boys. It aims to tackle major causes of poor health, including suicide, heart disease, cancer, and preventable illnesses, while reducing health inequalities. The strategy focuses on prevention, better access to services, community support, mental health, and male-specific conditions like prostate cancer.

At Healthwatch West Berkshire, we’ve asked local commissioning services whether they plan to develop a men’s health strategy similar to their women’s health strategy, and we are awaiting a response.

Your experiences will help inform this conversation and ensure men’s voices are heard.
